Personal Note:

  Today, 1st of December 2025, airs the first episode of the new Sandokan TV series that features Can Yaman in the role of none other than the great Sandokan, Alessandro Preziosi as the Portuguese Yanez de Gomera, also known as The White Tiger, and Alanah Bloor as Lady Marianna Guillonk.

In order to celebrate, I wanted to post something related to Sandokan - so, I translated this hidden gem. Yan Caman had some big shoes to fill in the role of Sandokan - there were two more movies made based on the adventures of Sandokan before director Sergio Sollima took on the project and cast Kabir Bedi in the main role, a TV series that lead to millions of viewers and that to this day boasts as the only time in (somewhat) recent history that a TV show had gathered 27 million viewers per episode, in Italy.

As a closing note, I will add that the original TV series was such a success that many children born between 1976 and 1978 were named Sandokan. (Source. 25.10.2025)

 After posting the English version of the song, it seemed only fair to post the original, Italian opening of the Sandokan series from 1976. Note : The following video contains the standard, main theme song and an extended instrumental version.
